I look for the unusual and unexpected. I am drawn to people caught unawares, as much as I am to people who join me in the photographic moment. I am drawn to entropy; yet I find equal beauty in the works of man and the works of nature.
I respect the wishes of the image in my viewfinder, and generally avoid major software adjustments, unless the situation demands it.
Bruce, a native New Yorker and former long-time New Jersey resident, lives in Portland, Oregon, with his wife, noted marriage and family counselor, teacher, and author, Abbi Hattem. Bruce's first wife, the pastel painter and much-loved educator Arlene Hyman, died in 2014.
